Pittsburgh, December 21, 2012 - Select International was named "Marketer of the Year" in the Professional Services cateogy for the third consecutive year by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
The AMA Marketer of the Year is Pittsburgh's premiere results-based marketing competition. It recognizes top-performing brands that compete in one of 14 categories, some of which include public relations & advertising, technology, media & marketing services, and industrial & manufacturing. Entries are judged by a panel of marketing leaders in academia and business in the Pittsburgh region.
Founded in 1993, Select International develops employee assessment solutions to help companies identify, select and develop top talent throughout their organization. The nomination highlighted some of the results of Select International's 2012 marketing efforts, including:
- significantly increased the number of opportunities created through marketing initiatives
- improved search engine result rankings for some of the industry's most competitive keyword terms
- increased the number of leads generated from social media channels
- surpassed initial traffic and conversion goals, seeing increases of 121% and 1,555%, respectively

The award ceremony took place on December 7, 2012, and LeMont on Mount Washington. Bill Flanagan, Executive Vice President-Corporate Relations for the Allegheny Conference of Community Development, served as master of ceremonies for the event.
